Ellen G. White lived from (1827-1915)
During her lifetime she wrote more than 5,000 periodical articles and 40 books; but today, including compilations from her 50,000 pages of manuscript, more than 100 titles are available in English. She is the most translated woman writer in the entire history of literature, and the most translated American author of either gender. Her writings cover a broad range of subjects, including religion, education, social relationships, evangelism, prophecy, publishing, nutrition, and management. Her life-changing masterpiece on successful Christian living, Steps to Christ, has been published in more than 140 languages. Seventh-day Adventists believe that Mrs. White was more than a gifted writer; they believe she was appointed by God as a special messenger to draw the world's attention to the Holy Scriptures and help prepare people for Christ's second advent. From the time she was 17 years old until she died 70 years later, Adventist think God gave her approximately 2,000 visions and dreams. The visions varied in length from less than a minute to nearly four hours. The knowledge and counsel received through these revelations she wrote out to be shared with others. Thus her special writings are accepted by Seventh-day Adventists as inspired by God.
If you wonder what she look's like she is the main tribe photo.

Sat, March 5, 2005 - 6:21 PMWow. These statistics are due in no small part, I'd imagine, to the fact that the Advenstist church owns their own printing company and is so active in worldwide missionary work. These are truly scary stats about the Adventist propoganda machine.

Sat, February 24, 2007 - 5:23 PMThats funny, the thumbnail of Ellen G. White makes her look like the missing link - note the square jaw, pursed lips and unibrow.
If it makes you feel any better, my grandma slapped me clean out of a chair for slurping my spaghetti at the dinner table. The proper way is to bite it in half and let the uneaten portion drop back to the plate, so I was told. Ah, dear nutty old grandma, still giving out my damn address to "Signs of the Times" magazine. I finally got online and wrote them a letter telling them that I can't wait for the time of trouble. No word back, and no magazines for over 3 months now! That's just the thing to get any devout Adventist off your back is to start yelling about the time of trouble and how you're going to work for the government when it starts. It makes their blood curdle, and trust me, they'll back off.
Did your parents send you to an Adventist school, or Academy? There's some pure hell for you. Joining hands. singing, praying and crying with the same people who beat, strangle and attempt to molest you.
I just reassure myself that most of them are probably dead or in jail now.
Anyways, check out www.ellenwhite.org it exposes her lies and contradictions. She spoke of slavery being reinstated in the south, Tall people living on Saturn, not to mention a brain injury she suffered as a child that ran in parallel with her abilities. Its amazing if you were to sneeze in church you'd be lynched, but if you screamed GLORY! and start spasming while quoting scripture, they'd call you a prophet.

Tue, March 20, 2007 - 2:25 PMWhat this article forgot to mention is that she copied a lot of her stuff from previous writers. So this probably will make her even more famous and controversial. One of her teachings that affected me the most was, when my mother had me reading about the damage that masturbation creates in your health(I was 12). oh my god...I thought I was gonna die from masturbation(solitary vice)...any way ellenwhite.org really has some good researched material.
